Rumor has it that some day soon(ish) it will start warming up here in the Northeast.

I have my doubts, but such are the doldrums of late February in the Green Mountains.

The Champlain Valley BASS Club is accepting new members for the 2026 Angler-of-the-Year Series. Exciting things are happening with Vermont BASS Nation as well, so if you're looking for a way to go from "Joe to Pro", we may be able to point you in the right direction.

We are a competitive, good-natured group of local anglers who get together on Thursday evenings and Saturdays (mostly) during the tournament bass season here in Vermont. Our home water is Lake Champlain and we also fish smaller waterbodies during our weekday evening dips.

Please go to the club website - www.champlainvalleybass.com if you would like more information and to apply.

Hey Boaters, as you are preparing your boats for winter storage don’t forget to remove your batteries from your hand and foot clickers, digital scales etc, this will ensure they don’t corrode in your device.

I also suggest you recycle them and put fresh ones in next spring
