ers who share an interest in the activities of the society. Our activities include summertime dinner dances, dances, barbeques, guest speakers, folk dance groups potluck meals, and other events that promote Finnish heritage in a social setting.

Hello members and friends of Finnish Heritage Society, Sovitaja in Rutland, Ma. It’s been a long cold and snowy winter for many, so hoping that the spring time weather will be upon us soon!!

This message is in regards to the 100th Celebration of Finn Park which begins in June of this year. Lots of information will be coming soon on events planned for 2026 that you won't want to miss.

At this time, we are still searching for old pictures from early days at Finn Park. These could include the hall, coffee house, events being held once the hall was completed in 1927, early pond pictures and building of camps. Pictures of members attending events should include names if possible.

We understand that old pictures may not have lasted through the years especially after older generations are gone. Hopefully some were passed on to family members through the years and have survived.

Please check with relatives to see who may still have some of these treasured pieces of history. If some are found, please notify me as soon as possible. I will include my address, email and cell phone number. All pictures will be scanned and returned to original owners . Pictures are only being used for display at park events in 2026 and 2027 and later put in albums for FHSS future generations. Please message me with any questions.
