Hard work and dedication deserve a celebration! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿค–
The IBOTS recently gathered at the Streetside Conference Center at the HUB CoWorks for our End of Season Celebration to recognize an incredible year of robotics, teamwork, and achievementโ€”and to honor our amazing seniors as they prepare for their next adventures.

The evening was filled with great food, lots of laughs, and plenty of memories. Highlights included senior gifts and a special senior video, student prizes and giveaways, and a robotics-themed game of Pictionary featuring adults & alumni vs. students. We're proud to report that the students claimed the victory! ๐Ÿ†

We also took time to recognize and thank our dedicated coaches and mentors whose guidance, support, and countless hours of volunteer service make everything we do possible.

A huge thank you to all of our parents who helped make the celebration such a success by providing delicious food, decorations, and support. Thank you also to CEDRR and The HUB for the use of such and amazing space for our gathering. We are grateful for the amazing community that stands behind our team.๐Ÿ’š

Congratulations to our seniors, and thank you to everyone who helped make this season one to remember. Here's to another incredible year of learning, innovation, and inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders! ๐Ÿค–โš™๏ธ

It's the thought that counts! Thanks to and for inviting us to join your alliance - even if we weren't at the 2nd week of Battlecry @ WPI. It would have been awesome! We definitely would have said yes - but it would have taken us 4 hours to get there!

๐ŸŽ“ Senior Spotlight: Congratulations to Jackson!
Join us in celebrating Jackson who will be heading off to Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA in the fall.

Although Jackson has only been on the team since 2025 - his impact has been immense. His intense and relentless dedication to design this year was vital to the success of the robot, as he single handedly designed the turret and energy chain for our 2026 robot. His wide range of interests and knowledge has also supported other sub-teams including scouting, strategy, and programming - and kept us all entertained and informed.

It will be impossible for any of us to forget Jackson - not just for his mad design skills and breadth of knowledge - but also because throughout the season he secretly left a surprise selfie of himself on each team member and mentorโ€™s cell phone this year (one of which even made it on to a team mateโ€™s senior yearbook page at a school that Jackson doesnโ€™t even attend). ๐Ÿ“ท๐Ÿ˜‚

Congratulations to Jackson and best wishes for his future!๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿค–

๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿค– Capital for a Day Visits the IBOTS!
IBOTS and Rutland Area Robotics were honored to be included on today's Capital for a Day visits in Rutland County!

We were thrilled to welcome Vermont Secretary of Education Zoie Saunders and Deputy Secretary of Education Jill Briggs Campbell to our robotics space at The MINT - Rutland's Makerspace. Our students had the opportunity to share information about our FIRST Robotics programs and discuss our vision of expanding our facility into a full Robotics Community Center that supports robotics education and STEM opportunities for learners of all ages.

One of the highlights of the visit? Secretary Saunders even took the controls and drove our 2026 robot! It was a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved.

Thank you to Secretary Saunders and Deputy Secretary Campbell for taking the time to meet with our students and alumni, listen to their experiences, and learn more about our goals for growing STEM education throughout our region. We are grateful for your interest, support, and commitment to helping create opportunities for Vermont students.

๐ŸŽ“ Senior Spotlight: Congratulations Brenden!
Join us in celebrating Brenden who will be going to Plymouth State University in the fall to major in digital media (with a possible minor in robotics).

Since joining the IBOTS in 2025, Brenden has been involved with our digital media sub-team, outreach, and scouting. At the 2026 World Championship, Brenden definitely won for collecting the most name badge ribbons of anyone on our team!

Brendenโ€™s favorite IBOTS memory is going to the 2025 World Championship and exploring everything that was there and scouting the matches. Brenden has been an extremely dedicated scout on our team for the past two seasons. His hard work and dedication in the stands will be missed.

Congratulations to Brenden and best wishes for his future!๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿค–
