Losing the righteous spirit of Kathy Wilson Bumpass is almost too much to bear. Her friendship touched so many people of all ages in our town and beyond. Please support Luther, Jessica, Michelle and all their families as they deal with this tragic and painful loss of a mother and wife.

If you need to have your family grave site covered for the holidays, and if they are near Rutherford, I can help. I will buy a marker for you at cost which is usually around $20.00 for pillows, wreaths and small blankets and $30.00 for larger blankets. There is no other charge for placement if the cemetery location is within 4 miles of my Rutherford home. Once the marker is placed I will photograph your family’s decorated grave site and forward you a digital image. If interested please private message me (PM} on Facebook or send me an email.

Yeah Bulldogs and Gaels alumni, it's that time again! The 2nd Annual Alumni Flag Football Game. Time for a shot at the Big Town Football Trophy and the bragging rights of being the best in town for a full year.

Last time St Mary's Alumni ran all over the Bulldogs. But this time the old Dawgs look juiced up and may have added some ringers.

The high noon showdown is next Sat at Tryon and you can support The Rutherford Community Pantry by bringing along a donation of a non-perishable food item.

Linda Smallwood-Greene just relayed a message that Craig Walters passed away yesterday (July 10th, 2015.) I hope to get some information on the services for him and pass that along. When Linda first announced his death, so many people commented that he was a sweet guy and I really have to agree. He was always soft spoken and thoughtful. I knew Craig from Washington School kindergarten and through the years our paths always crossed. Craig was a wonderful photographer and I often asked if he wanted to be my assistant. I think I recommended him for some wedding work a few times. I was always glad to see Craig out walking. I could offer him a ride and get a chance to talk with him. Many times I would be in a store and he would sneak up behind me and grab me demanding something goofy like some book I lent him or ask me if I was saved. Craig found God many years ago and his faith led him through some hard times. I will so miss seeing him around town and being able to pick him up to get some laughs. Craig I hope you are resting in eternal peace and will miss you buddy.

During each June Paterson Habitat for Humanity (PHFH) hosts about a thousand business employees who volunteer a day to build with us. I volunteer to photograph each group to document their partnership with Paterson Habitat. It is extremely hectic and sometimes I miss saying hello to friends that I have seen over the 24 years I’ve worked with PHFH. But last week a really sweet tap on the shoulder came from ADP executive Lore Brown Pateman. Lore is part of the 400 ADP volunteers who partnered with PHFH this year and has volunteered over many years with Paterson Habitat. But it was so nice to see our beautiful RHS classmate show up again. Thanks for supporting Paterson Habitat for Humanity and making my day Lore with your smile!

Wow, what a weekend! Thank you for comming and sharing your lives with us. It was so fantastic to see so many classmates come out for the concert and dinner. Way too much laughter and some tears. Thanks to Billy Weimer, Judian Johnson, Steve Lawaich and Terry Moore for putting this together. It was perfect because you were there. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
