Let's rewind and take a look back at our first two Summer Art Camps of 2026 in Ruston! Thank you Lincoln Parish Library for having us!

At our first Ruston camp, Ruston High teacher Deana Revels instructed the 4th-6th graders. A.E. Phillips teacher Martie Clary instructed the 1st-3rd graders for our second Ruston camp. These women were amazing teachers and we are so grateful to them! The children learned about colors and several different painting techniques.

Thank you again to everyone who participated in our 2026 Summer Art Camps. We hope to see you again next year!

We had an amazing turnout at our 2026 Grambling Summer Art Camp! The kids not only did a multitude of arts and crafts, but also learned the history behind several important aspects of Black culture (such as quilting, pepper sauce, and dance), and recreated them. They also learned important lessons about nutrition and farming.

This week in Dubach... NCLAC has been having so much fun with the 1st-6th graders at our summer arts camp! The kids learned about local history, like Dubach's Dogtrot houses, Louisiana's state song, and more. All the while enriching their creativity through the arts. If you have a child in this camp, don't forget to come to the Dubach Community Center this Friday at 11:30 am for our exhibition! The children will be presenting all the art they have made through this week and preforming our state song.

Thank you to our amazing teachers, Lauren Dixon and Chloe Alexander, and to all of our volunteers! We couldn't do this without all your help.

Get ready for NCLAC's Grambling and Dubach 2026 Summer Art Camps! We had so much fun at our first Ruston session of the summer, and we can't wait for our next sessions. The Grambling camp will be from July 20-24, and the Dubach camp will be from July 27-31. Sign up your first through sixth graders at nclac.org/summerartcamp. Each camp will be limited to 50 seats, so be sure to register as soon as you can!
