It’s official, Charity Boney is headed back to California!

The Hillcrest Elementary second grader has been named one of the top 10 students in the nation in the Braille Challenge and will travel to Los Angeles this June to compete in the national finals.

Charity recently placed first in the Apprentice Division at the Louisiana Braille Challenge and was also named the Overall State Winner, earning the highest average score among students in grades 1–12.

We’re incredibly proud of Charity and all she has accomplished. Good luck in California. We’re cheering you on!

In the picture, Charity is all smiles after learning that she was the overall winner in Louisiana.
