We will have sign-ups for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer coach or athlete. Help support our up and coming Ruston area, Special Olympics Louisiana Local Training Program 🏀🏈🏓⛳️🏋️‍♀️🏊‍♂️🥇🏆

Please join us on Monday, June 29, as the Ruston Police Department partners with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office for the Texas Roadhouse Tip-A-Cop event benefiting Special Olympics Louisiana.

For one evening, local law enforcement officers will trade their badges for aprons and assist restaurant staff while raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes. Every donation helps provide year-round sports training, competition opportunities, and life-changing experiences for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Come enjoy a great meal, meet your local deputies and officers, and help support an incredible cause that promotes inclusion, confidence, and achievement for athletes across Louisiana. Whether you stop by for dinner or simply make a donation, your support makes a difference.

We look forward to seeing you there and thank you for helping us champion the athletes of Special Olympics Louisiana!

Job Title: Direct Service Worker (DSW)
Location: Parish Pathfinder, Ruston
Parish Pathfinder is seeking a reliable, compassionate Direct Service Worker to provide support to adults with disabilities. This position will include taking clients out in the community for activities, and social outings, as well as assisting with daily living skills, transportation, community inclusion, and implementing individualized care plans.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Experience working with people with disabilities a plus.
* Must pass background check (no past felonies)
* Clean driving record and current auto insurance
* Reliable transportation
* Random drug screenings
* Mileage reimbursement
* Strong communication, patience, and professionalism

Schedule: Part-time and full-time shifts available.
