Trinity Methodist Church Confirmation Class came for a day of service at CCA on Monday of this week. We thank their leader Becky Clark and parents for allowing their child to participate. The class was welcomed by CCA Director Stephanie Matthews and given instruction by CCA Ministries Coordinator Hollen Meyers. CCA thanks these students for coming to give back through CCA during their fall break.

“SUPERHEROES FOR A CAUSE” is the theme of Soup for the Soul, which is today, October 13, 2026 at the Ruston Civic Center. For a $10 donation, you get to choose one from the following soups: creamy tomato soup, chicken tortilla soup, taco soup and tomato basil soup. Our offices are closed today in order for us to be at the Ruston Civic Center for our annual fall fundraiser. Please come out to support us and bid on Silent Auction items. All funds raised will benefit CCA directly with our food, clothing, utilities and other ministries. We hope to see you today to dine in or take out your soup lunch which includes cornbread or crackers, desserts and tea or water. It will be a festive time with live music and a variety of everyday super heroes. There are some awesome Silent Auction items to bid on for any occasion. $10 tickets can be purchased at the door today. CCA will be open Wednesday at 9am for our normal services.

The Littera Club held their meeting today and the guest speaker was Stephanie Matthews, CCA Executive Director pictured with Tish Freeman, Littera Club Vice President. Thank you all for learning more about CCA today.

GSU Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Psi Beta Chapter had a day of service and helped in our clothing ministries today. CCA thanks Yakira Emerson for representing their group and we appreciate all the hard work.

CCA annual fall fundraiser Soup for the Soul is rapidly approaching. Donations for tickets are accepted at local participating churches and at CCA. The table decorations this year will feature “SuperHeroes for a Cause!” Please come out to see a variety of everyday Super Heroes showcased. Also there are Silent Auctions items for every occasion on which to bid. Tuesday October 13, 2026 from 11am-1pm at the Ruston Civic Center. $10 and all donations accepted. Sponsors needed also.
