Goodwill Lunching, Inc.

(GWL), was established over ten years ago by a group of local volunteers to make a difference in the lives of children in North Central Louisiana. From its inception to today, GWL members have dedicated their time and resources to serving our local children. GWL annually raises funds through membership dues and donations to help provide needy families (selected by local teachers) with small toys,

winter clothing, hygiene items and educational materials to share with their children at Christmas. GWL also promotes literacy in the lives of all local children by purchasing books and hosting annual BookFests at our local public elementary schools. At the BookFests, each student is allowed to choose books to take home and own. Some of these children have no other books in the home and their joy at owning a book quickly translates into an eagerness to read. GWL welcomes the participation of anyone wishing to serve local children, either by participating as a member or by donating in support of the activities. Donations to GWL may be dedicated to either the Christmas Program or Literacy Program; many donors enjoy personalizing their gifts by requesting specific items or books they would like to give the children. In addition to monetary donations, GWL welcomes in-kind donations of items for local children, including books, gifts, clothing and hygiene items.
