🍿💙 COMMUNITY ACTION IS POPPING AT ARVAC! 💚🍿

At ARVAC, we know that strong communities are built when people come together to support one another—and sometimes, making a difference can be as simple as buying a bag of popcorn! 😊

From September 7–14, Pathways 2 Learning (P2L), is hosting a Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser to help rebuild and improve the P2L playground, including new playground equipment for the children. 🛝🌳

And there’s even more reason to get excited: 50% of every sale goes back to P2L! 🎉🍿

The playground is more than a place to play. It’s a space where children can move, explore, build friendships, use their imaginations, and simply enjoy being kids. ❤️ Every purchase will help P2L get closer to creating an outdoor space our children can enjoy for years to come.

Through Pathways 2 Learning we are proud to participate in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Providing nutritious meals and snacks is another way we can support healthy development while helping children learn, grow, and reach their full potential. 🌱

Last week, Samantha and Brooke had the opportunity to attend the Community Campus Resource Fair at ATU-Ozark, and we had such a great time connecting with faculty and students!

It was wonderful to meet people from all walks of life, hear about their experiences, and learn more about the resources and opportunities available within the campus community. Events like this are a great reminder of the importance of building connections and supporting one another.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by and visit with us. We truly enjoyed being part of such a welcoming and engaged community! 💙

ARVAC, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Shelter Advocate to join our team at Samaritan Outreach.

The Shelter Advocate is responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured environment for residents of Samaritan Outreach, a domestic violence shelter for women. This position provides direct, hands-on support to clients, including assistance with daily routines, emotional support, safety monitoring, and policy enforcement. The Shelter Support Specialist plays a key role in helping survivors stabilize, access resources, and begin their journey toward independence and healing.

✨ Qualifications include:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate degree in Human Services or Health Science preferred
• Experience providing excellent customer service in an office environment

💙 Please join us in welcoming Katrina Howard to the ARVAC team!

Katrina joins us as our new FCT-R Family Liaison Practitioner with Lake Point Recovery & Wellness. This is an important role that extends recovery support beyond the individual and focuses on strengthening the entire family.

Through Family-Centered Treatment–Recovery, Katrina will work alongside individuals and families as they navigate recovery, reunification, parenting challenges, and long-term stability. Her work will include in-home family support, parenting education and coaching, family stabilization, and collaboration with our FCT-R team and community partners.

At ARVAC, helping people also means helping strengthen the families and support systems around them. We are excited about what this role means for Lake Point, ARVAC, and the families we serve—and we’re very happy to have Katrina on board! 💗

🌺🌴 What a great time at the River Valley Block Party & Resource Fair! 🎉

Our Pathways 2 Learning (P2L) team had such a wonderful time getting out into the community, meeting families, visiting with other local organizations, and—of course—having a little fun along the way! 🎨💛

We loved seeing so many people come through the event, and our table stayed busy as children stopped by to paint, create, and spend a little time with the P2L team. Judging by the smiles in these pictures, we think our staff enjoyed it just as much as the kids did! 😊

Events like this are what Community Action is all about—showing up, connecting with our neighbors, sharing resources, and building relationships within the communities we serve. 🤝

A big thank you to Healthy Pope County and Healthy Yell County Coalitions for bringing organizations and families together for such a fun community event. And a special shoutout to our P2L team for representing ARVAC so well! 💙
