We are pleased to announce the next Public Service Micro-Scholarship Bingo night!

Last time, we raised over $200. Our mission is to accumulate $1,000 by December 31st so that we're able to offer $500 to help two (or more) students with cost of living or last-minute student account expenses.

Just wanted to make a post for some clarification on a (very understandable) complaint we've gotten from several folks. This is regarding the men walking around "preaching" against Pride, telling folks they will go to hell, and all that garbage.

- Those men are in no way affiliated with our events or any of our event vendors, they came on their own

- There is nothing we can do to have them removed from the depot park area unless they are threatening physical harm - we've had several conversations with the Russellville Police about this and have been told that we cannot have them removed from a public venue - we are continuing to work with RPD and Main Street Russellville to figure out what all our options are for future events and how best to manage disruptors like the ones on Saturday evening

- The inside of the train depot is considered a private venue and, during our events, we can refuse entry to anyone we choose and informed these men that they were not allowed to enter the indoor depot space

We're always looking for ways to ensure our event space stays as safe as possible but have limited options in a public venue like depot park. Additionally, private security is not legal in Arkansas so we're required to use RPD for our event security.

We apologize for any negative experience anyone may have had encountering these folks - in future, if they are harassing you or making you feel unsafe, please don't hesitate to inform an officer on duty or any of the event volunteers.

If you have any specific questions or concerns on this, please reach out to us at [email protected].
