It has been a busy and productive week at the Russellville City Fire Department.

Over the past week, members successfully completed an in-house Rope Rescue Technician class. This comprehensive training covered critical skills including anchor systems, mechanical advantage setups, high angle and low angle rescue techniques, as well as highline operations.

Through hands-on instruction and scenario-based training, participants strengthened both their technical knowledge and operational readiness.

This continued commitment to training ensures our personnel are prepared to respond safely and effectively to complex rescue situations while serving our community at the highest level

Fire apparatus pump testing ensures that our engines deliver the water flow and pressure needed when lives and property are on the line. This annual test measures pump capacity, pressure, and overall performance under real-world conditions. It helps identify mechanical issues before they become critical failures on the fire ground. Regular pump testing also ensures compliance with NFPA standards and maintains operational readiness. Most importantly, it gives firefighters confidence that their equipment will perform when seconds matter. A tested pump means reliable water, effective firefighting, and a safer community.
