Soldier Bear is a program for United States Military Personnel currently deployed in support of the Global War on Terror (GWOT), Operation Iraqi Freedom
or Operation Enduring Freedom. Soldier Bear is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a plush teddy bear from Build-A-Bear Workshop® to the children of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines. The bears are dressed in military uniforms, a

nd are fitted with an audio device that allows a Soldier to record a special, personal message to his or her son or daughter. Soldier Bear relies solely on donations, and all teddy bears are free of charge to the military families.
