UADA Pope County Master Gardeners Pope County Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who serve the county through horticultural beautification, conservation, and education.

The program relies on dedicated volunteers who have an interest in gardening and serving their communities. Master Gardener program of Pope County, Arkansas is part of the University of Arkansas System's Division of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension Service (UAEX). The “Master Gardener” title applies to one who has successfully completed a 40-hour training class and is actively pursuing (40) proj

ect hours and (20) learning hours as part of their volunteer commitment the first year. To maintain the designation of “Master Gardener” in subsequent years, an individual must acquire (20) project hours and (20) learning hours per year. Pursuant to 7 CFR § 15.3, the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture offers all its Extension and Research programs and services (including employment) without regard to race, color, s*x, national origin, religion, age, disability, marital or veteran status, genetic information, s*xual preference, pregnancy or any other legally protected status, and is an equal opportunity institution.
