Friends, we received notice today that our beloved mower and former RVDGA president, Mark Lykins, will need a replacement moving forward. If anyone is willing to help out with mowing the course at Old Post, please reach out and let us know. Thank you so much Mark! We really appreciate everything you have done for the disc golf community here in the River Valley.

"To the Board of the River Valley Disc Golf Association:

Friends, the day is fast approaching when I will no longer be able/willing to do the mowing at Old Post Park. I have developing arthritis in my right shoulder and it is bad enough that it is limiting my sleep at night. Mowing does not make it better, imagine that! In any event, I will continue to mow for this mowing season, although I may not be able to mow as much as usual. But this will have to be my last year. We built Old Post disc golf course in 2011 and I have done most of the mowing for its lifetime. When we built the disc golf course, the River Valley Disc Golf Association signed a written agreement stating that we would be responsible for the maintenance of the course. I have always taken that very seriously. Fifteen years is going to have to be my limit. I’m letting you all know now so if folks want to be trained on the use and or maintenance of the lawn mowers I can share what I know. I appreciate the disc golf community and all of the great relationships that I have had with disc golfers through the years. And I appreciate the fact that you all are continuing the support of disc golf in our community.

Saturday is our annual tag tournament, and here's what the 2026 bag tags look like.
Special thanks to Nickolas Mann and ACC Inc. of Russellville for getting these made up!
Please join us at Pleasant View DGC for our first round, teeing off at 10:00 sharp. The second round starts at Old Post Road Park after a one hour lunch break.
Bring your 2025 tag if you have one, and $15 for club membership, which includes ace pot entry.
(Currently the ace pot is over $100)
If you bring a friend who's never been a member, we'll give you $5 off.

New tags for 2026 will be issued on the 7th at the annual tag tournament.
Bring $15 and your 2025 tag (if you have one) to Pleasant View by 10am, and we'll play a round there before moving over to Old Post in the afternoon.
