who believes Arkansas deserves real solutions-not empty promises.

Co-Founder of Open Doors Ministries, author of The Man in the Window, and host of the podcast Views from the Window: Conversations that Matter — exploring faith, leadership, culture, and the responsibility. PUBLIC SERVICE ISN’T JUST A CAREER - IT’S HIS CALLING

I worked in the finance for 12 years providing financial solutions for individuals
and companies, which enabled me to serve in the ministr

y as a global adviser to
more than 250 church leaders from 32 nations in the Middle East, Africa, and
Ethiopia where I spoke to nearly 75 members of the Ethiopian Parliament about
being a public servant as a Christian Catalyst. I took the successful experience of
my service as a global adviser and authored “The Man in the Window”, a book
that challenges believers to live out their faith in ways that transform
communities. On staff at City Church-Russellville, I was part of an initiative that eliminated more
than $3 million in bad medical debt for the people of Pope County - real relief for
real families. My wife Stacy and I recently launched Open Doors Ministries, a new
ministry focused on equipping local churches, meeting the needs of families
across our area, and attacking one of Arkansas’s most devastating burdens:
crippling medical debt. We plan to be a bridge between business leaders in the community and the church, systematically eliminating over $142 Million in qualifying bad medical debt. Serving as a global adviser in the ministry, on staff at the City Church, or
operating Open Doors Ministries I worked every day to confront the issues
affecting our city, our region, and our state.

Over 400 Waiting Hearts in Arkansas 🧡🏠

On the latest episode of Views From the Window, we discuss a staggering reality that many in our community may not realize: right now, there are over 400 children in Arkansas waiting for a forever family.

These children are featured on Project Zero, a website specifically for kids who have reached the stage of Termination of Parental Rights (TPR). This means their legal cases are over, they are officially adoptable, and they are simply waiting for a family to choose them.
What can you do?

Visit Project Zero: See the faces and hear the stories of the kids waiting for a home.
Explore Adoption: These children are ready to be part of a permanent family.

Find Your Place on the Chart: Even if you aren't in a position to foster or adopt, there are many other ways to support these children and the families who take them in.

Every child deserves a place to belong. If you’ve ever wondered how you can make a permanent difference in a child's life, this conversation is for you.

🎧 Listen to "Views From the Window" to learn more about Project Zero and how Joseph’s House helps bridge the gap for these children.

In our latest episode of Views From the Window, we’re getting real about what happens when a foster parent says "yes."

Imagine getting a call in the middle of the night for a two-year-old child. Before that first $13 reimbursement check arrives a month later, you are often starting from scratch. You aren’t just opening your heart; you’re immediately needing to provide:
A bed and mattress
Bedding and food
Strollers, car seats, and toys

One of the most moving parts of our conversation with Joseph’s House was their stance on how a child arrives. They are "adamantly against trash sacks" and work tirelessly to ensure every child has a suitcase instead.

Foster care isn't about making a profit—it's about a community coming together to bridge the gap for families who are stepping up in their most vulnerable moments.
Tune in to Views From the Window to hear the full story of how Joseph’s House is helping foster parents navigate these first critical hours.

"I could never do foster care... I would get too attached." 💔
We hear this all the time on Views From the Window, but here is the truth: That is exactly the point.
Children in the foster system need someone who will get attached to them. As the sources point out, no one wants a "cold-hearted" foster parent—these kids deserve someone who cares enough to let their heart be involved.
Yes, foster care is a risk. It can be uncomfortable, and it requires sacrifice. But if you feel called to this mission, the message is clear: Do it anyway.
While you should always be safe and set boundaries that are best for your family, don't let the fear of a broken heart stop you from providing the attachment a child desperately needs.

Did you know that foster care is often a cyclical journey? According to the sources, approximately 74% to 75% of children currently in the system had at least one parent who was also in the system growing up.

Even more sobering is the connection to other crises: 85% of victims helped out of s*x trafficking have a background in foster care.

These cycles often continue simply because families don’t know there is another way or they lack access to the vital resources they need. On this episode of Views From the Window, we are diving into how we can provide those resources and help break these generational cycles.

It starts with awareness and ends with action. 🏠✨

Watch the full conversation to learn how you can help change the story.

In the latest snippet from Views From the Window, we hear about the heart and dream behind Joseph’s House: for the River Valley to be a community where every foster family feels fully supported.

Providing a safe home is a calling, but it shouldn't be a solo mission. That’s why Joseph’s House hosts Monthly Support Nights to bridge the gap.

Here’s how the community is stepping up:
Local Businesses: Sponsoring meals because, let’s be honest—if you have five kids, you aren’t going anywhere unless there’s food!.

The Church: Dreaming of being the primary engine that funds and fuels this support system.

Approved Volunteers: Providing specialized childcare so parents can actually rest and connect. Foster families can’t just hire any babysitter; they need approved, reliable care.

It takes more than just a "yes" to foster; it takes a village to sustain that "yes." Whether you are a business owner, a church member, or someone who can provide childcare, there is a place for you to help.

Together, we can give these families the support they need to keep going.

Foster Care is a Mission Field. Are you ready to step in? 🏠✨Imagi...

What if we changed the way we look at foster care? According to the sources, there is one vital truth every church needs to hear: Your foster parents are missionaries.

While it might not look like traditional mission work, that is exactly what it is. By shifting our perspective, we can provide the same level of care and advocacy for foster families that we provide for those in the international mission field.

When churches step up to support these local missionaries, the impact is clear:
More families will feel empowered to step into the role.
Foster parents will stay "in the game" longer because they aren't doing it alone.
Families will have the encouragement, resources, and support they need to thrive.
Foster care is a calling that starts with a simple "yes." Let’s start supporting our local missionaries with everything we've got.
