Thanks to the members who came out on Saturday to prep the ground and plant grass seed around the new buildings! Also, thankful for the work that was done in the fall, the planting of bulbs
has rewarded us with some colorful blooms this spring.🪻

Just in time for summer! The Interlake and MC Scow fleets at ILYC currently have boats that are looking for new owners. Here's your chance to get into sailing! And what a bargain...both boats come with a 1-year membership to the club as well as a dock and, should you need it, introductory training on set-up and sailing!

ADULTS - you can learn to sail too! Sailing is not just for the kids! The adult course includes classroom instruction and hands-on sailing experience in an 18ft lnterlake. Note: This is an active sailboat that does require some agility and the ability to move quickly. Each boat will have two students along with the support of a qualified adult instructor.

Instruction for adults takes place on three consecutive Saturdays: June 6th, 13th & 20th, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. – Noon.

ILYC still has a few spots in our Youth Sailing Camp (ages 10-17) being offered June 15-19, 2026 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day.

Know a young person who'd like to learn to sail? Encourage them to learn a new sport / skill this summer. And send them our way!

The Indian Lake Yacht Club invites the local community to an Open House during the 2026 Indian Lake Boat Show! Whether you’re a lifelong lake resident, a weekend sailboater, or simply curious about sailing, stop by and see what the Yacht Club has to offer.

Open House Hours:
Friday, March 6: 5:00–9:00 PM
Saturday, March 7: 10:00 AM–9:00 PM
Sunday, March 8: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM

What to Expect:
Tour our newly updated club facilities, Learn about one-design sailing and racing with fleet boats on display, Discover leisure day sailing and casual cruising on Indian Lake

Instruction:
The Open House will also highlight the club’s Youth Sailing Camps for local middle and high school students, Local youth scholarships to help make sailing affordable, and Adult sailing instruction for beginners and those looking to build confidence on the water.

Open to the Public:
The Open House is free and open to everyone and designed to pair perfectly with the excitement of Boat Show weekend. Stop in for a few minutes or stay awhile, meet club members, ask questions, and see how sailing can become part of your Indian Lake experience.

Do you know a child who would like to learn to sail?

ILYC will offer Youth Sailing Camp 2026 for children ages 10-17 years old from June 15– 19, 2026. Come join us for a fun week!

Additionally, four scholarships are available to attend camp for campers who live in the Indian Lake School District.
