A friend inquired about VA survivors' benefits for spouses who've lost a veteran. There are booklets explaining how this works, but I thought I'd also share the link here so that it can reach a wider audience.

I was incredibly blessed in that the funeral home that handled my husband's services immediately got me in touch with Social Security and with the VA to submit information. And when I took my paperwork to the Cherokee County Veterans Service Office at the courthouse in Rusk, they checked it over, then filed online for me, asking additional questions to make sure I hadn't looked over any other benefits I might qualify for.
