Wow, what a fantastic group of sponsors! The 2nd Annual Clay Shoot is coming up August 1st!

Benefiting the Rusk State Hospital Volunteer Council and Rusk Rotary, this is one of our community’s most fun fundraisers of the year – and if you missed it last time, come be a part of it!

Proceeds go directly to support patient programs at Rusk State Hospital and local Rotary service projects, so every pull of the trigger helps someone in our community.

Therapets Hart and Nellie visited RSH once again, stopping by our geriatric unit SJU for the first time in 4 months and then our Tejas unit for the first time in 8 months! Patients were able to socialize and take pictures with the Therapets during the enjoyable afternoon. Then before leaving they fulfilled a special request from a soon to be retired 27 year employee by paying her a special visit! She said the visit "made my year!" Hart and Nellie even signed a card for her!

For the first time since the new hospital opened, our friends at First Christian Church Longview were able to host a birhday party inside of it!

These volunteers brought gifts and cake for all as they do every June. They made stops this morning at our geriatric unit and our SOAR programming area before coming back this afternoon, spreading cheer on the 3rd floor of our RIO unit! The patients thoroughly enjoyed their generosity and compassion. They also brought a clothing donation! Thank you so much! 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎁
