The newly relaunched YIP (Youth in Philanthropy) group held its first meeting at RCHS on 9/30 with 18 students participating. All classes, freshman through senior, were well-represented.

Our thanks to RCCF board members Kelly Morgan, Julie Leisure, and Toni Schultz for their help in guiding YIP!

Each member was asked to share a word they associated with philanthropy. Here are their responses:

Giving / Giving back / Giving to people, Helpful / Helping (2) / Helping others, Impact, Service, Support (2), Togetherness

If you or someone you know was impacted by the August storms and flooding, this event this Friday, October 9 through the Rush County Chamber of Commerce may be helpful.

You do not need to be a Rush County resident to attend.

🤤This Friday we’ll be serving up Takathemoke Restaurant Milroy’s DELICIOUS biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs at the Weekly Grind thanks to our generous breakfast sponsor Duke Energy! (While supplies last)

💙The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Disaster Recovery Team will be at the Chamber to help assist any businesses who were impacted by the bad storms we had in August. If you know anyone who could benefit from their resources please pass this information along to them.

➡️Our usual casual networking will continue and we would like to encourage our non profit and community leaders to attend as well to learn more about the SBA’s Recovery Programs (and EAT!). 😁
