🏡 BIG INVESTMENTS. BIG OPPORTUNITIES. A STRONGER RUSH COUNTY!

Exciting things are happening in Rush County and throughout our region!

Through Accelerate Rural Indiana, communities across Rush, Shelby, and Decatur counties and Batesville are putting $50 million in state READI funding to work to support housing, job creation, childcare, and community development.

We're especially excited that Rushville and Rush County have been allocated $4.9 million for six projects in the latest round of funding!

These investments are about more than dollars and projects. They're about creating opportunities for families, supporting local businesses, attracting talent, and building communities where people want to live, work, and raise their families.

At Rush County ECDC, we're proud to work alongside regional partners who recognize that when our communities work together, we can accomplish more.

Rush County MFG Day 2026 has begun. INTAT, Copeland, Trane, Corteva and Diamond Pet Foods provided opportunities to learn more about career paths located right here in Rush County. Thanks to everyone, including Rush County Boys and Girls Club who provided lunchtime VR career exploration.

Congratulations!

The Rush County Commissioners, Rush County Health Department and Rush County Purdue Extension Office held a ribbon cutting and open house this afternoon at the new Rush County Annex Building.

They are excited to be able to offer better public access and programs.

Agriculture is such an important part of Rush County’s economy, and gestures like this are a great reminder of the strong relationships our local businesses build with the people they serve.

We’ll also include a Business Formation Lab to help make the process less confusing and give participants practical guidance on what comes next.
