This scholarship was established to honor the memory of Joshua “J Phil” Phillips, a 2006 graduate of Rushville-Industry High School. Joshua passed away in January 2011 due to a tragic vehicle accident. Joshua is remembered by his family, fellow classmates, friends and community, as fun-loving, kind hearted, hard working, and as a person who lived every moment of his life to the fullest. Joshua nev

er met a stranger, and throughout his life he approached all with an incomparable level of humility and kindness. These remarkable characteristics enabled Joshua to find the goodness in all. Through his humbleness and generosity, Joshua also embraced comedy and often found laughter and smiles in even the most difficult of times. These traits were demonstrated equally by Joshua in the multitude of outdoor and athletic activities he participated in; activities he loved, cherished, and embraced until the very night of his passing.

Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, or helped in any way for yesterday’s Golf Outing! We raised a ton of money for the J Phil Memorial Scholarship which will benefit many kids to come!
