We need your help to bring better internet to Schuyler County.
Illinois will be receiving $1B in BEAD (Broadband Equity Access & Deployment) federal grant funds later this year to be used to expand broadband internet to unserved and underserved areas in Illinois. These funds are very important for the future of broadband in ALL of Schuyler County. Throughout the last several months, the Illinois Office of Broadband has been refining the State of Illinois broadband maps that will be used to qualify "unserved and underserved" locations for the grant funding.

As a county, we need to confirm that actual service at each address agrees with the reported service on the BEAD map. Most addresses in the county are correctly classified as "unserved and underserved" However, In the northeast portions of Schuyler County, there are known discrepancies between the actual service and reported service on the map. There is a process to challenge these discrepancies, however, we need your help.

Here's how you can help:
1. If your address is in northern Rushville Twp, Oakland Twp, Browning Twp, or Hickory Twp, please take a look at the attached map to see if your address is shown. Check to see what type of internet service is reported at your address (served, underserved, or unserved).
2. If the internet service information for your address is incorrect, please email Schuyler Isley at [email protected] so we can proceed with a challenge for your address.
3. Ask your neighbors and friends to check the map too!

Thank you for helping us bring better internet to Schuyler County!
