The cold weather reminded us that community support made this RCEF-funded ski adventure possible — ensuring no student was left behind. In late January, RCEF-funded scholarships gave students the opportunity to participate in a skiing field trip that challenged them to try something new, take risks, and keep going when it was hard. For many, it was a first-time experience that built persistence, resilience, and confidence in ways a worksheet never could. These kinds of opportunities make school more engaging, relevant, and enriching, and they help bring the kind of learning experiences every student deserves. Thank you to all our RCEF supporters!

Because of our community’s support of the RCEF, grants like this are making a real difference for students and schools. A recent grant-funded crash pad gives students a safe and effective way to regulate emotions and energy so they can return to learning ready to focus, participate, and engage. More than a comfort item, it supports self-regulation, attention, and classroom readiness. When students are equipped to reset and rejoin instruction, the entire learning environment is stronger.

About 70 English Lit students first read Frankenstein in class, then—thanks to a grant from the Rush City Education Foundation—went to the movie and saw the story come to life in a new way. Per their teacher, this experience connected classic literature with a contemporary artistic interpretation, helping students move beyond discussion and text analysis to explore Shelley’s themes of creation, ethics, and humanity through film. Thank you to the Rush City Lions for their generous $1,000 donation to our Raise Your Flag – Fund a Dream at the 2026 Rush Rally! 🦁💙

Your support helped us raise more than $13,000 to bring a Fusion Edge 12 Laser Engraver & Cutter to Rush City Public Schools. This exciting addition will expand hands-on learning opportunities in Engineering, STEM, Fabrication, Graphic Arts, Product Design, Business & Entrepreneurship, and Makerspace programs.
