Three months until this little Depot is filled with Christmas music, excited kiddos, elves waiting to be adopted, names being searched for on Santa’s Nice List, families making memories…and a certain someone in a red suit. 🎅

No fancy video today. No polished graphics.

Just a little bit of the real magic from last year. 🥹

And in exactly three months, we get to do it all over again — only this year, we’re making even more room for families to experience it.

🎄 Christmas may still be months away, but Santa’s workshop is already hard at work!

This week and next, we’ll be taking our Christmas in July Tour across Southwest Virginia, visiting local businesses with a few festive treats and inviting them to help make Santa at the Station 2026 our most magical season yet.

Every sponsor helps us keep this experience affordable for families while creating lasting Christmas memories for children throughout our community.

When people ask what Santa at the Station is, the answer isn’t simply “a Christmas event.”

It’s a place where wonder comes alive.

It’s the excitement of finding your name on Santa’s Nice List.
It’s the smile on a child’s face as they meet Santa.
It’s parents and grandparents watching Christmas magic unfold right before their eyes.

It’s also the excitement of children waking up on Christmas morning to gifts made possible by the generosity of our community. Every toy donated by our guests helps spread the magic beyond the depot and into the homes of local families.

Our mission has always been simple: to create an affordable, welcoming Christmas experience where every family can make lasting memories—and where the joy of Christmas reaches far beyond one special day.

One of our favorite moments each year isn’t actually meeting Santa.

✨ Introducing Bright & Calm at Santa at the Station ✨

As part of our exciting two-day expansion for 2026, we're thrilled to introduce Bright & Calm—a special Santa at the Station experience designed for families who may prefer a quieter, more relaxed visit.

Held on Friday, December 4 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Bright & Calm will take place the day before our traditional Santa at the Station event and will feature lower crowds, reduced noise, and a slower pace while still including all the magic families have come to love.

Families attending Bright & Calm will enjoy:

🎅 A visit with Santa
📸 A family photo with Santa
🧸 Elf Adoption Station
🩺 Elf Wellness Check
💌 Letters to Santa
☕ North Pole Beverage Station
🎄 Activities throughout the depot
✨ And all the Christmas magic of Santa at the Station

While this experience may be especially helpful for children with sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety, medical complexities, babies, toddlers, or families who simply prefer a quieter environment, Bright & Calm at Santa at the Station is open to everyone.

📸 We're searching for the right photographer.

As we begin planning for Santa at the Station 2026, we're looking for someone who sees this as more than a photo session.

We're looking for someone who understands that these aren't just pictures.

They're Christmas memories.

They're the photo Grandma frames.
They're the image that ends up on a Christmas card.
They're the smile parents look back on years from now when their children are grown.

We're looking for someone who loves working with children and families, is patient and kind, and understands that every child deserves a magical experience—including those with sensory and special needs.

While most of us are thinking about summer vacations, pool days, and back-to-school plans, the North Pole is already hard at work preparing for another magical season of Santa at the Station.
