The purpose of this Ministry is to encourage and incorporate a daily relationship with Jesus Christ as we all faithfully run the race of this life with perseverance for the eternal prize that awaits us in Heaven. Our Vision:

Brent was invited to preach in 2006 during a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. While there, the Lord impressed upon him to preach a message of perseverance to the native people from 1 Corinthians chapter 9. Using a Spanish speaking interpreter, the message touched many, giving them hope in Jesus Christ to always carry on through the many seasons that life would bring their way. For Brent, it was a life changing experience and for good reason. Being in full time Law Enforcement work, Brent had experienced several tragedies and personal challenges in his career, but God was using this message as a vehicle for him to persevere and take team-based ministry work to the next level. Why we started this ministry:
The vision of pursuing ministry work stayed on Brent's mind constantly as did the name: Running The Race For The Prize. So over two years later in 2008, with the help and prayers of his loved ones, a Christian connection ministry was started online. The internet is widely used by many on a regular basis, but not always for The God's glory. A small group of about five members was started on Facebook which led to this ministry today. We have had several opportunities to share God's word, as well as His love with others through Christian service and outreach. It has been a great blessing to see and hear of so many lives transformed, all because God showed up and placed His special touch on those in need. We look forward to many more opportunities in the future to share God's word and love with others. We hope and pray that by connecting with us in your daily walk, you will grow closer and stronger in your own personal relationship with God. How this ministry functions daily:
The word synergy can be defined as two or more things functioning together to produce a result not independently obtainable. That is the best way to describe the inner workings of this ministry, its many members, and active Christian service as a whole. Many of the RTRFTP ministry members are involved in full-time and part-time ministry work. Several are also very connected to their communities and serve in some capacity. Many members have joined us through: Churches and Community Centers, Public Service outlets, social media, prayer circles, and word of mouth. Each member of this ministry is like family to us and it is awesome to hear the testimonials of how God has worked through us all as we work together to glorify Him.
