A huge thank you to everyone that participated and helped with our 2nd annual Corgis and Cars event. Minidoka Joint Powers Animal Control & Shelter was the recipient of the entire proceeds of $3,881.00. We would like to thank our sponsors, WillTran, Inc., for donating the porta potties, the 23 farm The 23 Farm Store for donating the T-shirts, Four Paws for donating our raffle basket, and Lulu's for bringing the awesome food and coffee/soda drink trailer and special thanks to PER Toby Miller for making the awesome trophies for the day. Gus and MagDalene Bryngelson brought their book on the 1917 M1917 WWI ambulance and donated the $20 cost of the books that sold to the animal shelter as well.
Thanks to the Mini Cassia Auto Collectors car club for coming out to support the event!
Five out of the six puppies that were there for adoption found homes! There were so many awesome cars and corgis that showed up to help raise funds for the shelter.
Our winner for the corgis was Dan Simpson’s Angus, and second place went to Jeff Sigmon with his corgi, Freddy.
Idaho State Elks president, Dave Purcell and first lady, Debbie Purcell were there to bring the Elks Drug Free Trailer, judge the cars (sorry Dave for throwing that at you) and enjoy the day.
Our car winners were Nate Orton with a blue vintage Ford pickup, Mrs. Bohle with a pink Studebaker and Jeff Sigmon with his vintage work truck. Veteran’s choice trophy went to Gus and MagDalene Bryngelson with the 1917 M1917 WWI ambulance. Next year I have to remember to keep a copy of the window cards for the cars so I know everyone's full name and car make -- apologies.
