It's hot. Here's a photo of Viewpoint in winter to cool you down! Viewpoint Cabin has long-range views, sleeps 1, maybe 2 if you like them a whole lot. It's beautiful, peaceful, and here at Merck Forest when you need it. It's also a little bit cooler way up here. Nature's air conditioning. Tap the link in bio to find your cabin and book your stay.

Merck Forest sits within one of the most important wildlife migration corridors in the eastern United States. As climate zones shift north, animals need connected, unbroken forest to move with them, and Merck Forest is that.
We're grateful to reporter .solsaa and VTDigger for telling this story. And we're grateful to everyone who helps keep this land whole.

A garden in May is all potential (and mostly work!) The starts (plantlings/seedlings - what do YOU call 'em?) are ready. So now let's think about HOW to plant just as much as WHAT to plant!
At Merck Forest, we think about the garden the way we think about the larger landscape. As an ecosystem. Flowers support pollinators. Herbs confuse pests. Diversity builds resilience. This month at Garden Club, we bring that thinking down to the garden bed level, where you'll practice spacing, layout, and companion planting. Join MFFC Farmer Hadley on May 23rd for Garden Club! Reserve your spot online. https://www.merckforest.org/event-details/garden-club-2026-05-23-10-00
