We are currently applying for various tax credits for the former Rupert Elementary School to repurpose as clinical space and housing. These types of projects take time to fund and construct. Our team is making great progress and we would like to thank everyone that has helped. This will be a tremendous asset for the communities in addition to the Marvel Center, West End Youth Sports League, and other improvements by the Rupert Volunteer Fire Department that are already in place at the campus. We are seeing momentum that the community can use on other projects across the Meadow River Valley.

The building to the right of the three story building at the former Rupert Elementary School campus was beyond repair. The building was recently demolished thanks to collaboration between Meadow River Valley Association, Greenbrier County Schools, Greenbrier Countly Homeland Security & Emergency Management, and WV’s Slum and Blight Program.

The removal of this building makes way for additional parking that will be needed to support the planned clinical and housing space at the campus.
