πΌ Behind the Scenes with the Runnemede Chamber of Commerce πΌ
Many people see the events, improvements, and community projects after they happen, but there is often a lot of work taking place behind the scenes to help make them a reality.
Recently, Runnemede Chamber of Commerce President Cathy Walker appeared before Mayor and Council to discuss two exciting initiatives: the Fall Pike Jam on October 3rd and a new Beautification Pilot Program aimed at enhancing the appearance of the Black Horse Pike.
Working with the Runnemede Garden Club, the Department of Public Works, borough officials, local businesses, and community volunteers, the Chamber is exploring the installation of decorative planters at designated locations along the Pike. The goal is to create a more welcoming corridor while highlighting the pride we all share in our community.
What begins as an idea often requires months of planning, meetings, partnerships, approvals, fundraising, and coordination. Cathy Walker has been working alongside community partners to help move these projects forward and build momentum for a more vibrant Runnemede.
The vision doesn't stop with the Black Horse Pike. If successful, this pilot program could expand to other roadways throughout the borough, creating a lasting impact on the appearance of our town.
Thank you to the Runnemede Garden Club, the Department of Public Works, Mayor and Council, and everyone who continues to invest their time and energy into making Runnemede a place we're proud to call home.
Stay tuned for more updates as these projects continue to take shape! πΈπ‘
