Thank you for 6 amazing years! Brodie is a part of our family and patriarch of the four fabulous felines in the William's clan. Brodie is also a warrier, a cancer warrier. He is the co-founder of Team Brodie and the inspiration for The Brodie Fund. In July of 2015 Brodie was diagnosed with cancer, adenocarconoma, of the nasal passages. Bottom line was he had a tumor and it was not only causing him
to sneeze all the time, sometimes with blood, it was also growing and eventually going to kill him. He never,ever let us know truly how bad he felt. The warrior in him was strong and he was as sweet, loving and as playful as ever. The only warning sign we had was the sneezing. Working with our amazing team of veterinarians we got the proper diagnosis and formed a treatment plan. This meant expensive testing followed by four weeks of radiation, 19 treatments total, and now consists of regular follow-up appointmants and supportive care. Brodie is still fighting the good fight as well as supporting other pets with cancer on Facebook with the Team Brodie page. Through our experiences and listening to others on the Team Brodie page we realized there was a need for finanacial assistance to help families with the costs of treating pets with cancer. Thus The Brodie Fund was created.
