High Mountain Youth Project of Lincoln County, New Mexico

The High Mountain Youth Project of Lincoln County, New Mexico, envisions a loving and caring community where all youth are protected, empowered, loved, respected, and treated with dignity. Our mission is to involve the communities of Lincoln County, New Mexico, in providing a comprehensive safety net for youth experiencing homelessness or

at risk of homelessness. This comprehensive safety net includes the following programs:

1. The Drop-in Center is open from 1:00-7:00 pm daily for teens in need of free resources—snacks, meals, laundry facilities, showers, socialization, recreation, and a safe space.

2. The 24-hour Emergency Youth Shelter is open for youth experiencing homelessness ages 14 up to 18. Come by the High Mountain Youth Center at 637 Sudderth Drive and check us out!

3. Transitional Housing and Rapid Rehousing/Rental Assistance for youth and young adults up through age 24.

What an absolutely incredible day! The 8th Annual Great High Mountain Bed Race and Festival is officially in the books, and we are still blown away by the energy, creativity, and community spirit you all brought this year.
From the wildest bed designs we’ve ever seen to the amazing food, fun, and laughs, this year was hands-down our best one yet. 🛌💨✨
🏆 A Huge Shoutout To:
• Our Bed Teams: Thank you for training hard, engineering those crazy coasters, and giving it your all out there. You kept us on the edge of our seats!
• Our Volunteers, Staff & Board of Directors: Events like this take a village. Thank you for working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly and safely.

They are at it again! The Ruidoso Lincoln County Assoc of Realtors have been busy rounding up folk for the Celebrity Jail all to raise donations for High Mountain Youth Project of Lincoln County New Mexico.
Come to Wingfield Park after the Bed Race today and see who's in jail and who will be lucky enough to get bailed out!

Date: Saturday, May 30th Location: Midtown (Starting at Sudderth & Center Drive)
🏎️ The Schedule of Shenanigans
• 10:00 AM | The Bed Parade: Watch the teams strut their stuff as they head from Sudderth & Center Drive down to Country Club Drive. Expect high energy and plenty of team spirit.
• The Main Event: Once the parade ends, the race begins! Teams will race their beds all the way back to the original starting line/Center Street & Sudderth.
• 11:00 AM (Approx) – 2:00 PM | The After-Party: Head over to Wingfield Park for a festival full of food, games, and booth-hopping. Plus, you get to vote for your favorite bed team!
• 12:00 PM | The Awards: Grab some glory at the trophy ceremony.

🛌 Why We’re Racing
It’s not just about bragging rights for the fastest four-poster. This event supports the High Mountain Youth Project, which provides a crucial safety net for youth experiencing homelessness. Your participation helps keep them safe and supported as we work to end youth homelessness.
