📣 Sara Moss Elementary PTO is looking for amazing parents and community members to join our board for the 2026–2027 school year! 🐝💜💛

We currently have open positions for:
⭐ Treasurer
⭐ Secretary

We are looking for dedicated, responsible, community-oriented individuals who want to make a positive impact on our school!

Board member expectations:
✔️ Attend PTO meetings
✔️ Help with at least one PTO event per semester
✔️ Work collaboratively to support our students, staff, and school community

No prior PTO experience is required — just a willingness to help and get involved!

💜🐝 What a YEAR it has been at Sara Moss Elementary PTO! 🐝💜

From Trunk or Treat and Movie Night to Glow Party fun, Veterans Breakfast, Lucky Grams, Candy Wars, and Duck the Principal — this year was filled with unforgettable memories, laughter, and community spirit! ✨

We were also so proud to support our incredible staff through:
🍎 Teacher Appreciation Week
💜 School Counselor Day
⭐ Assistant Principal Day
🥨 STAAR Testing Snacks
🥤 Trail Mix Snack Bar
…and so much more!

Thank you to every parent, teacher, volunteer, sponsor, and student who helped make our very first PTO year such a success. We truly could not have done it without this amazing community.

WOW, Sara Moss Elementary!! 🐥💙

Our final Duck the Principal total was an incredible 618 ducks!! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to all of our students, families, and teachers who participated and helped make this fundraiser such a fun success. We loved seeing the excitement and friendly competition throughout the school! 🫧🦆

The competition is heating up! 🎉 We had a new leader emerge over the weekend!

Current class leaders are on the board, but there’s still time to help your class climb to the top before the LAST DAY on Wednesday! 👀

Students who purchase ducks will get to place them in Dr. McCoy’s office themselves! 🐥💛

Don’t forget — the winning class gets SQUISHIES! 🎉

We are in need of a few more door prizes for our end of year party!! We want to send these teachers off to summer with some awesome goodies!! If you have anything to donate or know of someone who would like to help us spoil our staff one last time, please reach out to our Counselor, Ashley Richardson! 💜💛 What an amazing Sara Moss Elementary Field Day! 💛💜

A HUGE thank you to the incredible Royse City HS Girls Soccer for coming out and helping make the day so special for our students. Your energy, encouragement, and kindness made such a big impact! ⚽🐝

Special thanks to Coach Croley for organizing and planning such a fun, memorable, and successful Field Day. Your hard work and dedication truly showed in every detail!

And of course, thank you to all of our amazing teachers and staff who helped throughout the day. We are so grateful for everything you do to create such a positive and fun experience for our students.

🐥 OPERATION: DUCK THE PRINCIPAL 🐥

Help Sara Moss PTO give Dr. McCoy a QUACK-tastic sendoff before summer break! Students can purchase rubber ducks that will be placed in Dr. McCoy’s office on Thursday, May 21st.

💛 $1 = 1 Duck💜 $5 = 6 Ducks

Students who purchase ducks will also get to help place them in his office!

School-wide duck goals:

🐥 100 Ducks — Dr. McCoy quacks during morning announcements

🐥 250 Ducks — Dr. McCoy walks through the halls like a duck for 10 minutes

🐥 500 Ducks — Students get to SOAK Dr. McCoy! 💦

🏆 The class with the most ducks purchased will win squishies for the whole class!

All proceeds benefit Sara Moss PTO and help support our students and staff.

Today we treated staff to a Dirty Soda Bar stocked with fun drinks, flavored syrups, creamers, fresh fruit, and energy drink mix-ins to help power through the week! 🍒🍋🥥⚡
