Update on North Texas Giving Day. Thank you so much for partnering with us this year!

This was our first time officially participating in North Texas Giving Day, and we honestly didn’t know exactly what to expect. We set out with a goal of raising $15,000, based on a matching opportunity that had been put up for RVSL Foundation.

And you BLEW PAST THAT GOAL, well before midnight.

By the end of the day, $26,300 had been given IN ADDITION to the $15,000 match that was put up!

We are very aware that the space we are stepping into is bigger than any of us individually. The need is enormous, and the vision God has placed in front of us is far beyond what we could accomplish on our own.

But we are also confident that God has called us into this space. And because He has called us to it, we have the confidence to walk into it.

We were blown away and so deeply encouraged by your response yesterday.

We are incredibly grateful that you're willing to walk into this with us.

We believe there is so much more ahead. And we're thankful we don't have to walk into it alone.

And that’s a wrap on Summer 2026 LDR Foster Camps!

What a gift it is to spend another summer investing in children in the foster care system. So much laughter, impactful memories, and so many moments that reminded us why this mission matters.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, counselor, and person who poured into these kids this summer. We couldn’t do it without you. Until next year!

Boys Teen Reach Adventure Camp was the perfect way to close out an incredible summer at Lonesome Dove Ranch.

Over the past month, we’ve watched kids and teens build friendships, step outside their comfort zones, and learn about the hope found in Christ. This final week was filled with unforgettable moments and powerful reminders that God is still changing lives.

Thank you to every volunteer, family, donor, and prayer partner who made this summer possible. Your generosity created experiences that will have an eternal impact, and we’re grateful for every part you played.

Our hearts are full, and we can’t wait to see how God continues working in the lives of these campers long after they leave the ranch.

We are so excited to share a few moments from this year’s Girls Teen Reach Adventure Camp!!

What an incredible camp. Every year we go into camp praying that these teens would experience the love of Christ, build meaningful friendships, and leave knowing they are seen, known, and deeply loved.

It is one of the greatest privileges to walk alongside these incredible girls, laugh with them, encourage them, and watch the Lord move in such beautiful ways throughout the week. We are so thankful for every volunteer who poured out their time and love, and for every camper who trusted us with a small part of their story.
None of this would be possible without your generosity, prayers, and faithful support. Thank you for making weeks like this possible. Because of you, lives are being impacted for eternity, and we are so grateful to have you as part of this mission.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude. 🤍

Because of your generosity, we didn’t just meet our goal, we exceeded it. Every camp is funded. Every camper is sponsored. More than 300 children in foster care are experiencing a summer filled with love, belonging, adventure, and hope.

One camper said it best when asked why she keeps coming back:
“The people.”

She shared that Lonesome Dove Ranch is the one place where she feels understood, loved, and doesn’t have to hide what she’s been through.

That’s what you made possible.

Somewhere on the ranch today, a child is laughing, riding a horse for the first time, hearing about Jesus, and discovering they belong.

We regularly hear from caregivers in our post-camp follow up that camp changed their kids in ways they didn’t see coming.

One mom told us about her son Elijah, who's been coming to camp since he was 8. This past year, something shifted. He came home and told her, "It changed me in ways I didn't know were possible." He said Lonesome Dove "is growing with me." And then this week — out of nowhere — he told her, "Mom, when I make it to the Major Leagues, I'm going to give back to Lonesome Dove and every kid will get a signed baseball."
