Trust and Respect

It doesn't matter how many years you have been in a club..All that and seven dollars will get you a cup of coffee.

Your Brothers will trust and respect you once you have earned it. Trust and respect aren't earned with war stories, long speeches, patches, degrees, or titles. Trust and respect are earned by living, breathing, and moving like a Brother.

Showing up, riding in all kinds of weather to show support. Listening more than you talk. Always trying to be a team player and sacrificing to strengthen the team. These are only a few examples.

Think back to your last 10 interactions with your Brothers. Did you talk a lot about yourself and your contributions? Did you deflect constructive criticism? Did you speak poorly of others? If so you probably aren't gaining a lot of trust and respect.

Hopefully, you were speaking of others' accomplishments and the good times had with others. Hopefully, you owned your portion of things going poorly. Hopefully, you lifted a Brother.

One of life's greatest accomplishments is earning the trust and respect of others and then keeping it.
