Meet the leader helping shape The BITE Foundation from the very beginning.

As President of The BITE Foundation, Dena Kelly has dedicated 20 years to helping children with pediatric feeding disorders and empowering the families who support them.

As Founder & CEO of Focused Approach, an educator, and the author of "Just Crackers and Cheese, Please!," Dena believes every family deserves access to evidence-based feeding support.

That belief is what inspired The BITE Foundation.

By eliminating financial barriers to feeding services, The BITE Foundation is helping ensure more children receive the care they need, regardless of where they live or the constraints they face.

When she's not working with families, writing, or training clinicians, Dena is a proud mom of two, cheering her son on from the sidelines and supporting her daughter's Girl Scout adventures.

This week, two members of The BITE Foundation's Board are heading west for family time.

It's a reminder that pediatric feeding disorders affect families everywhere—not just in our own communities.

No matter where we go, we're inspired by our mission to raise awareness, expand access to care, and support families navigating feeding challenges.

Meet Chris Ciminera, CPA, QKA, Founding Board Member of The BITE Foundation.

Every strong nonprofit needs people who bring different perspectives to the table, and Chris does exactly that.

As a CPA and Principal at Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, Chris brings years of financial leadership and governance experience that helps strengthen our Foundation and ensure we're building an organization that can make a lasting impact.

But his commitment to our mission is also deeply personal.

Chris has navigated feeding challenges since infancy due to severe dairy and soy allergies. His firsthand experience gives him a unique understanding of how feeding difficulties can affect everyday life and why families deserve greater access to support and resources.

We're grateful to have Chris helping guide The BITE Foundation as we work toward a future where every family has access to the feeding support they need.

✨ Meet Sarah Naughton, RD ✨

We're excited to spotlight Sarah Naughton, Registered Dietitian and Founding Board Member of The BITE Foundation.

Sarah brings valuable expertise in clinical nutrition through her work at Option Care Health, where she supports patients with complex nutrition needs, including those requiring feeding tubes.

She believes every person deserves access to the nutrition they need to thrive, regardless of how they receive it. That passion for helping families makes her an invaluable member of The BITE Foundation as we work to expand access to feeding therapy.

Fun fact: Sarah recently became a mom to her son, Cameron. 💙
