Pancreatic cancer remains difficult to diagnose in its earlier stages because symptoms often emerge later in the course of the disease. The Mayo Clinic recently reported that its AI model may detect pancreatic cancer up to three years earlier than current diagnostic methods, creating extraordinary potential for earlier intervention and improved outcomes.
The prognosis for advanced metastatic pancreatic cancer remains serious, with traditional median survival often measured in months rather than years.
