Join us for our 6th Annual Juneteenth Celebration at the Royal Oak Farmers Market from 3 PM–7 PM!

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom. Today, we celebrate freedom, culture, resilience, and community.

Bring your family and friends for an afternoon of fellowship, entertainment, vendors, food, youth activities, and our 1865 Freedom Walk.

Tomorrow we proudly celebrate the 6th Annual Royal Oak Juneteenth Celebration and the 5th Annual 1865 Freedom Walk!

Join us as we come together to honor freedom, reflect on our history, celebrate our progress, and strengthen our community.

We are also collecting new socks for local homeless shelters, so if you’re able, please consider bringing a pair or two to help support our neighbors in need.

For six years, this celebration has brought our community together to learn, connect, and celebrate the legacy of Juneteenth. We are grateful for everyone who has supported this event and helped it grow year after year.

🧦❤️ COMMUNITY SOCK DRIVE ❤️🧦
In honor of our 6th Annual Celebration, we are collecting NEW sock donations to support members of our homeless community and help keep our neighbors safe, warm, healthy, and cared for.

Socks are one of the most needed and least donated items for individuals experiencing homelessness. A clean pair of socks can help prevent infections, improve comfort, and remind someone that their community sees them and cares.

✨ Donation bins will be available throughout the Farmers Market and during our annual “Freedom Walk 1865: Step Into History” freedom walk, honoring the journey, resilience, and legacy of freedom seekers!

We are asking the community to donate:
• New adult socks
• Men’s, women’s & children’s sizes
• Thick socks, athletic socks, and everyday socks all welcome

📍 Bring donations to any marked collection bin during the celebration festivities.

As we celebrate freedom, culture, history, and unity, let’s also show up for those in need within our community. Every pair donated makes a difference. ❤️
