A friendly reminder the club fee for each meeting is $5.00, payable to the Treasurer. Oakland Club Dues for 2023 are also due, payable to the secretary.

I currently do not have a speaker lined up. However, I would like to hold a discussion on where future Oakland Club Meetings should be held. As stated in my previous email, we have an opportunity to move our meetings to either The Maple Leaf in Troy, or Kirby's Coney Island (also in Troy). Your input will decide where we should go from here (or stay at our present location).

The December Meeting of the Scottish Rite Oakland Club is cancelled (12/11) due to the majority of our members being out of town this month. We will reconvene on Monday, January 9th at 6:30 pm. I wish everyone a very happy Holiday and a Happy New Year!

The November Meeting of Scottish Rite Oakland Club will be held on Monday, November 14th at 6:30 pm at National Coney Island in Royal Oak (1812 N. Main Street). Select and pay for your own meal from the menu. WB Jim McPherson of Northwood Ancient Craft 551 will be presenting a discussion on famous people who influenced the Civil War.
