Medevac Status

During the process of transporting a patient; our aircraft are occasionally allowed to jump the line as time is often critical. Our crews are very appreciative of anyone who has taken a delay to get our patients to their destination more expediently.

We are unable again this year, to do our Laugh Til it Hurts Fundraiser at Wiseguys Comedy Club. 😥
We would still love your support in our cause and in helping other families that have Organ Donation related issues. We help them get to appointments (gas cards) and hotel rooms for stays away from home, and other needs when things are already hard.

Exciting advances

Doctors at Duke University Medical Center performed the first donation after circulatory death heart transplant on an adult in the United States on December 1.

When he was 5 years old, Harrison had Kawasaki Disease and developed aneurysms in his coronary arteries. After several left his heart severely damaged, he was listed for a at age 6. He received the beautiful gift of a second chance when a family made the most gracious decision to . He was up and walking 4 days after transplant and gained his strength quickly. He had amazing doctors, nurses and staff that genuinely cared about his health and well being. He competed in the at age 8 and brought home several medals. He is now 9 years old and thriving. Since transplant he has played soccer, baseball and basketball, developed a love for reading and funny jokes, and in his prayers, he always asks a blessing for the children in the hospital.
