Welcome to the Dewitt Center!
On October 3, 2018, Madison Park Development Corporation (MPDC) hosted an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the new Dewitt Center. The Dewitt Center is a 21,274 sf community building with programs and services for residents of the neighborhood, including a technology center, an after school program, indoor recreation and wellness programs, a youth center and new management offices. In addition to project partners, MassHousing Executive Director Crystal Kornegay, Boston Planning & Development Agency Director, Brian Golden, and local elected officials offered remarks and assisted with the ribbon-cutting.
“The Dewitt Center will encourage greater socialization and provide resources that allow our youth to have a bright and successful future,” said Jeanne Pinado, MPDC Chief Executive Officer.
This project is part of Madison Park Development Corporation’s larger master plan for modernizing Madison Park Village and conceived as part of a larger Whittier Choice Neighborhood planning process.
