Inner City Capital Connections

Inner City Capital Connections ICCC is a national program designed to accelerate small business growth and access to capital.

Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) is an Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) program that positions inner-city businesses for long-term success. It’s designed for busy executives of all expertise levels, and its impact is proven to strengthen businesses and the inner-city communities where they operate. By ensuring alumni success, ICCC promotes sustainable business growth in America’

s inner cities. It helps bridge the gap for the 75% of inner-city businesses that are in need of capital, but that cite lack of knowledge and relationships as key barriers to obtaining it. Since its launch in 2005, ICCC alumni have averaged 184% growth in revenue, created more than 12,000 jobs and raised $1.4 billion in capital. Hear what some of our alumni say about ICCC:

“ICCC helped us to reevaluate our sales and marketing strategy and increase our competitor analysis to catapult the growth of our business.” - Deborah Schimberg, Glee Gum

“This was a wonderful combination of information, thought leadership, and networking.” - Jessica Johnson, Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. Apply here: http://www.icic-iccc.org/companyform.aspx

We were proud to kick off the 2026 Greater Boston cohort of Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) this week in partnership with the City of Quincy as part of Community Development Week. It was a warm and welcoming evening, and we're grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate and support small businesses in Greater Boston.

We especially appreciate the strong support from Mayor Thomas P. Koch and Congressman Stephen Lynch, whose remarks reinforced the vital role small businesses play in building vibrant communities and local economies. Their presence, alongside our valued partnership with the City of Quincy, helped set the tone for an inspiring kickoff.

We're also deeply grateful to M&T Bank for their continued support of small businesses — and especially to Robert Drake, President and Regional Manager, and his team for their commitment to this work.

The evening gave us the opportunity to introduce ICCC, share how the program helps small business owners access executive education, coaching, capital connections, and more, and hear heartfelt remarks from ICCC alum Sandra Ishmael of Allure Spa about her growth through the program. Thanks to Quincy College for being such a wonderful host as we officially launched recruitment for this year's cohort.

We encourage interested entrepreneurs to apply soon — spots are going fast!
