Lewis "Eddie" Winstead Memorial Fund, Inc. This charity is focused on assisting student-athletes by providing scholarships and opportunities for mentorship.

This organization was established to honor the life and legacy of Lewis "Eddie" Winstead, Jr. Eddie, as he was affectionately known, passed away in 2011 after a brief illness. During his life, Eddie was an exceptional student-athlete. In addition to that he spent countless hours mentoring youth. Out of love for Eddie, and in response to his untimely death, family and friends have united to remember him and make a difference in the lives of others.

Today we awarded 1 scholarship to a deserving high school student. We do this every year to honor my brother’s legacy! So thankful for everyone who has supported us on this journey! So thankful for everyone who has supported us on this journey! Since 2017, we’ve awarded scholarships to 22 students in Person county. God is so good and we are so grateful!
