Roxboro!
The weather is shaping up to be the warmest it has ever been for our toy run. The warmer, the weather, the better the turnout. The better the turnout, the more children smiling this Christmas. As always, we will be staging up off of Robe Barton Road in Timberlake around 1:30pm. Once we have gotten as many bikes as we can fit on that road and Frank Timberlake Road there will still be bikes in the Homestead parking lot however we will have to start heading north on 501 towards Madison Boulevard to make room to get them out behind us. We will continue down Madison Boulevard and onto the 501 N. bypass. We will turn right onto 49 north virgilina rd. Our next turn will be a left-hand turn onto Bowmantown Road. We will turn left onto 501 S and turn right onto old 501 S continuing through the Cavel village area back across the boulevard and onto Main Street. Once we pass the courthouse, we will continue to the stoplight to turn left back onto Madison Boulevard. From there, we will return back to the Homestead via Robe Barton Road and Frank Timberlake Road. These riders are riding for our children, so please watch out for them. Even if you see a gap to where you can make a turn and navigate through the pack, please do not do so. Some of these riders are coming from several hours away as far as Conway, South Carolina and do not know their way around the area. The ride is being fully escorted, and intersections should be blocked for the most part. Please just be patient and give us time to get by and back to the Homestead safely.
If you would like to watch the ride, but cannot attend the run, stage up somewhere along the route safely out of traffic and enjoy the show. It’s always moving to see people wave us as we go by and it is talked about more than you know.
