We are excited to announce that our Sallie Southall Cotten scholarship winner, Brayden Gentry, just won at the district level. He now advances to the state level. We are proud of you, Brayden! And, thank you to Kathy Baynard Oakley and Jodi Holman DeVillier for attending and guiding Brayden at the District 5 meeting today!

Roxboro Woman's Club was honored to host this year's District 5 Fall Meeting! Thank you to all that helped make it all happen.

GFWC-NC District 5 held their Fall Meeting on Saturday, October 11th. Many thanks to the District 5 Officers for organizing the meeting and Roxboro Woman’s Club for hosting and arranging events of the day. Members enjoyed the presentations, informative reports, and working together on a creative hands-on project. GFWC-NC President-elect Cindy Hewett was honored to attend and bring greetings.

RWC and Roxboro Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Business After Hours on August 14th from5:30-7pm at Dalton's Sports Bar and Grill. If you are interested in joining the Roxboro Woman's Club, interested in learning more about Red Stocking R***e presented by the Roxboro Woman's Club 2026, or a Chamber member, please make plans to attend.

Congratulations to Shelton O'Briant on receiving Roxboro Woman's Club's Scholarship Endowment. His area of study is Business Administration. It was nice having lunch today with all the scholarship recipients at Piedmont Community College's Annual Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon.

Here is one of our entries for the GFWC of NC Mural Contest.

Uptown Roxboro isn't just a physical location; it is a living testament to our community's history, the shared generations, and the hardworking individuals that carry it forward. These spaces are more than just structures; they are the backdrop to countless memories--family gatherings, parades, careers, and entertainment. But beyond the memories, uptown Roxboro, is the place of hope. It serves as a reminder that our town's roots are strong, and even in times of change and adversity, the spirit of the community endures.

It is Roxboro Woman's Clubs mission, through projects, volunteering and fundraising, to preserve Roxboro's history while connecting the past with a hopeful vision for the future.
