💛A Heartfelt Reminder Regarding the Blessing Box 💛
When we set up the Blessing Box at the community center, our goal was simple: "Take what you need, leave what you can" We wanted to make sure our neighbors always have a safe, judgment-free place to find help or give back.
Recently, we’ve noticed a few times the box being completely emptied out all at once, right after being restocked. While we understand that times are tough and needs are genuine, taking everything at one time leaves nothing for the next family who stops by looking for a meal or basic supplies.
To keep this resource working for everyone in our community, we kindly ask that all visitors follow a few simple guidelines:
•Take for today, leave for tomorrow: Please take only what you and your family immediate need for a day or two so items remain available for others.
•Keep variety available: If you need help, try to leave a few items for the next person rather than clearing out multiples of the same items.
•Pass it forward when you can: If your situation improves, consider dropping an item back in to help someone else.
❤️PLEASE❤️ reach out if you need extra help! If you and your family are genuinely in a position where you need more than a few supplies that are stocked in the box, send this page a direct message! Don't be afraid to reach out—we can try to gather a separate box of supplies directly for you and your family so the public box can stay stocked for everyone else.
Our Blessing Box relies entirely on the generosity of our neighbors who buy and restock these items out of pocket. To our donors: Thank you for your ongoing support and kindness!
Let’s work together to make sure this remains a reliable resource for the whole community. Thank you for helping us look out for one another!
