Congratulations to the newest Eagle Scout in Troop 8042, David LePage. David grew up in scouting and worked hard to get where he did today. Great job David.

We camped at Mount Norris Scout Reservation last week. We shared a site with Troop 235 from Hartland, VT. And despite the weather we had most of the week we had a great week. Both Troops quickly became like one and everyone got along like we had known each other before. The staff was incredible and handled everything perfectly. At weeks end after closing campfire I think we all didn’t want to say goodbye. Although we were looking forward to heading home. We look forward to next year at Mount Norris and hopefully seeing Troop 235 again.

What a great weekend. Rouses Point held their annual Fourth of July celebration. This weekend I got to visit with two former scouts, Kevin Sterling and Matt Orr. It was great seeing both of these guys after so long. I wish I’d taken time to get a photo with them for our Troop 8042 page.

The 2023 St Mary’s Parade. Thanks to Kiera and Jace for marching and carrying the flags for Troop 8042. It was a great day for the Parade followed by our annual participation in the St Mary’s bizarre cotton candy and snow cone booth.

Troop 42 is planning summer camp at Mount Norris Scout Reservation in Vermont I hope we are able to have a large number of scouts able to go.

Tonight we welcomed Jace to our Troop and also recently Kiera. We are pleased to have new members in Troop 8042.

We are going to hold our hike/camping trip as planned this weekend. We plan to meet at 9 am Saturday at McDonald’s
