Musselshell County Signe Cougars 4-H A 4-H club in Roundup, MT with co-leaders Angie Tatman and Brenda Serrano.

In 4-H, if you can dream it, you can do it! 4-H offers more than 100 different projects and learning experiences that actively engage while having fun. 4-H, projects rely on trained adult volunteers who work with youth as a partner and resource for learning. There are opportunities, from learning how to cook or sew to raising an animal, camping, and everything in between. 4-H offers youth a wide range of choices and opportunities (www.montana4h.org).

Stop and see the quilts at First Security Bank. These quilts are up for raffle to help Signe Cougars fund future Thanksgiving baskets and Veterans quilts. Raffle will be on February 10th. Purchase tickets from any Signe Cougar 4-H member or Angie at First Security.

Please support the quilt raffle! This raffle supports the Signe Cougars in making Veterans quilts and providing Thanksgiving baskets to community members in need. Let me know if you would like tickets and I will have a Signe Cougar reach out.

Each quilt is made by Emalee Vickers, Lily Vickers, and Abigail Olson. Will update the Griz quilt when the border is completed.

Signe Cougars 4-H club will be raffling off two quilts again!! Each quilt raffle the club does goes to purchasing items for Thanksgiving baskets. These baskets are bought through gracious donations and funds from this raffle. With the help of another 4-H club we have made 100 baskets since we have started. Proceeds also goes towards making Veterans quilts for amazing Veterans in the community. If you would like to purchase a raffle ticket, they are $1/ticket or $5/six tickets.

A big thank you to Emalee and Lily Vickers and Abigail Olson for their time and efforts designing and creating these quilts.

Drawing will be February 10th during basketball game.
Quilts are still being made, so will update pics as they go!!

In 2016, Signe Cougars gave away 2 Thanksgiving Baskets to families in need. In 2018, Goulding Creek joined our cause. Every basket we made, they matched. As of this year, we will have given away almost 100 Baskets.

In 2018, our 4-H sewing group started making veterans quilts. We give quilts to veterans in our community, picking by a random drawing. We have given away 9 quilts so far, and are finishing up two more for this year.

Signe Cougars will be selling Christmas quilt raffle tickets. The raffle ticket proceeds goes towards the Veterans Quilts and the Thanksgiving baskets. Since 2016, Signe Cougars and Goulding Creek 4-H has teamed up to provide over 60 Thanksgiving baskets to families in need in our town. The club began making Veterans Quilts in 2018 and has given away 9 quilts to honor veterans in Musselshell County. Raffle tickets will be $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, please comment below and a Signe Cougar 4-H member will be in touch!

Signe Cougars is proud to honor local veterans every year by presenting them with a Quilt of Honor. This year will make a total of 9 veterans who we have had the pleasure of thanking for their service.

Emalee Vickers, Lily Vickers and Mackenzie Serrano have worked countless Sundays to complete this service project.

This year’s honorees are:

Ronald Birdwell, US Navy
Tanner Cummings, Army National Guard
Tom Vandeberg, US Air Force
Dwane Snook, Naval Air

Signe Cougars 4-H club and Goulding Creek 4-H club are joining together again to give away 20 Thanksgiving baskets to some families that are in need this year. If you want to ask for a Thanksgiving basket or know a family that could use a little help this Thanksgiving, please let us know! We will be taking names until November 1st.
