The thyme is NOW!

Come join us this Friday and Saturday from 9 am - 4 pm at Round Top Festival Hill in Round Top, Texas!

Do you enjoy gardening? Are you looking for that perfect herb? Maybe you’d like to expand your salvia collection! Or perhaps you’re learning all about native plants and the wonders that they do for our local pollinator species.

Whatever excuse you use to get yourself outdoors and enjoy this glorious weather, you will find what you’re looking for at our annual herb and plant sale!

Also be sure to visit our Thyme Well Spent Shoppe! you’ll find lots of goodies for the home and kitchen, including soaps, lotions, herb blends, tea blends, spice blends, and jams. They also have many handmade items from our members, and quite the assortment of gently used gardening books and magazines. And many packets of seeds collected by our members.

Come visit us for the Pioneer Unit’s annual Herb & Plant Sale, this March 13th & 14th, Friday and Saturday, at Round Top Festival Institute in Round Top, Texas.

We will have a huge variety of herbs to choose from, along with an incredible selection of salvias, natives, color and bedding plants, some shade loving plants and succulents, too! We will have an array of tomatoes and peppers, along with some great fruiting varieties for our area. We typically carry a nice selection of shrubs and roses, too. A little of something for everyone!

But we sell out quickly! Hours are 9 am to 4 pm, Friday and Saturday both.
We are open to the public, please take time to stroll the grounds, there are beautiful herbal gardens, fountains, stone structures, and great architecture. Drop in the office for details on our concert series and other upcoming events!

Also, don’t forget to visit our Thyme Well Spent Shoppe, full of great gift items, handmade by our members. We have a variety of herbal blends, oils, lotions, craft items, teas, jams, chutneys, mustards, and gently used gardening books and magazines.

The Pioneer Unit of the Herb Society of America would like to invite you to our annual Herbal Forum, on Saturday, March 14!

We will be “Dishing the Dirt on Herbs” so go grab your favorite gardening pal and come learn from Andie Marsh about Regenerating Soil by fostering a healthy environment for soil microbes. Cynthia Meredith will be showing us how native herbs helped early Texas homesteaders. Linda Franzo is excited to present Herbserendipity which unveils the unexpected pleasures of herbs and edible flowers! Ramin Baranpourian will be exploring the mysterious golden wonder of Turmeric, our Herb of the Year for 2026!

AND, Friday workshops are back by popular demand! Workshop spots are limited and available to forum attendees only. Andie Marsh will be giving a hands on workshop about setting up worm bins for vermicomposting, and Billie Parus will be demonstrating how to add a flavorful punch to any meal with Indian inspired chutneys.

Also, don’t forget! This coincides with our Herb & Plant Sale and Thyme Well Spent Gift Shoppe, which are open both Friday and Saturday (March 13/14) from 9 am to 4 pm.

Make time to stroll the public gardens, explore the beautiful campus at Round Top Festival Institute, and visit the office for upcoming concerts and other exciting events!
