Cub Scouts Pack 174 Round Rock

Cub Scouts Pack 174 - We are chartered by American Legion Post 447 and hold monthly meetings at Great Oaks Elementary School in Round Rock, TX.

We have a great scouting program for boys and girls in kinder through 5th grades. Most of our members attend Great Oaks Elementary School, but we welcome other kids in the area who are interested in joining Cub Scouting. Our Pack starts the Scout year in June and continues through May. Our main activities occur during the school year, but we do have many summertime activities. In the Fall/Winter,

we primarily focus on earning achievements/awards, while we have a large Fall Family Pack camping trip, participate in community service activities and have a holiday party. During the Winter/Spring we hold our Pinewood Derby race, participate in the Report to State parade, hold our Blue and Gold banquet, have our Crossover Celebration for the Scouts who are graduating from our Pack, hold our Spring Family Pack Camping trip and End of the Year Party. During the summer, we have at least three Pack outings and participate in the Capitol Area Council Scout Summer Day Camps. For more information about our Pack, please contact [email protected]. Scouts are all about patriotism, but remember—Scouting America doesn't endorse any political candidates! Scouts can perform flag ceremonies at events but must leave the stage right after. 🇺🇸

Want to stay for the event? No problem, just change out of your uniform. Let’s keep the focus on serving our country without showing support for any one candidate. 🇺🇸

In the Fall/Winter, we primarily focus on earning achievements/awards in which we have a large Fall Family Pack camping trip, participate in community service activities and have a holiday party. Our pack is run by a group of dedicated adult volunteers made up of cub scout parents and guardians. We welcome families and encourage inclusion of siblings and parents at all of our pack functions.
